Education aims at the rearing up of disciplined, efficient and God fearing citizens. All the above qualities are of paramount importance as far as individual as well as national life is concerned. The need of the hour is to bring up good citizens; who would put others interests before their own interests and would willingly contribute their mite for the well being of the fellow citizens. It is with these noble ideals in mind that the school was founded in June 1965 by Chevalier T THOMAS, the Founder. To impart quality education to the children of the lower middle class families in an area like North Madras is another objective of the school. To start with , the school was following I.S.C., pattern and later affiliated to central Board of Secondary Education till 1983.
Since 1983 the school is affiliated to the Tamilnadu Matriculation Board & the Board of Higher Secondary Education. It is our cherished goal and desire to impart education with better learning and good discipline upholding the rich traditions and values of our society by making a new India for tomorrow.
Aim & Objective
The aim of the school is to provide a full liberal and comprehensive education and to impart education through modern training methods which will develop the character and personality of the child. The object is to turn out young men and women with a keen sense of discipline and responsibility, initiative and self-reliance, integrity and loyalty to the nation.
Our Motto
Our motto as depicted in our school emblem is SM -> ST. MARY - ADORNED BY THE CROWN with the wording DOMINIE ILLUMINA ME - 'God enlighten me'. The crown implies success in the fulfillment of imparting best education.
Curriculam
The school follows the Samacheer Kalvi syllabus or Common syllabus introduced by the Government of Tamil Nadu for classes I to X. The Higher Secondary follow the Tamil Nadu State Board Syllabus. English is the medium of instruction. Tamil is offered as second language for Std UKG to VIII. Tamil/ Hindi/ French is offered as second language for Std IX to XII.
